As part of the annual process for the Safe and Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Education program, all schools in the Temecula Valley Unified School District must verify that students have received, with fidelity, instruction on safe and drug, alcohol-use prevention, for every student, each year, in grades K-12.

At Alamos classroom teachers will address knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior; lead students to resist the illegal or harmful use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco; and help students to resolve conflicts without violence.

Students are to receive instruction through the required district curriculum, as well as through other effective methods such as presentations, peer education, and presentations by outside speakers at assemblies.

The district has provided more information about the SDATE programs on its website and has included many resources for parents. If you are interested in learning more, please click on the link below.
